Members of the Doukhobor Cultural Interpretive Society graciously donated numerous blankets so our Interact Club could donate them to the Mexican Orphanage they visited. In order to thank them, our club organized a cultural experience with the Doukhobor ladies. We prepared their traditional meal of borscht and shared it with them while we told them stories about our time in Mexico. They then taught us how to tie blankets like the ones that were sent to the orphanage. It was an amazing experience where we got to bond and learn about a culture so prevalent in our society.
